The small print
Website terms
The short version
- Read, share and link to us freely — just don't break, scrape or misuse the dojo.
- Our name, pigeon and work are ours. Other names and logos belong to their owners.
- Plans can change. What we say about projects in the works is a sneak peek, not a promise.
- Our games and apps come with their own terms when you get them. These terms only cover this website.
Who we are
wayofthepigeon.ninja is run by Way of the Pigeon Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16797488), registered office 82, Suite A, James Carter Road, Mildenhall, IP28 7DE, United Kingdom. Say hello at hello@wayofthepigeon.ninja.
By using this website you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use it. Our privacy & cookies policy explains how we handle your information.
Using the site
You're welcome to read, share and link to any page. Please don't:
- break the law, or help anyone else to, using the site;
- try to get into parts of the site or our systems you're not meant to, or probe them for weaknesses without our permission (found a security problem? Thank you — tell us at hello@wayofthepigeon.ninja);
- overload, disrupt or attack the site, or upload anything harmful;
- copy the site in bulk, scrape it or harvest it with automated tools (search engines indexing it normally is fine);
- sign other people up to the newsletter without their permission, or use it to send spam;
- pretend to be us, or suggest we endorse you when we don't.
We may change, pause or remove the site or any part of it at any time, and we can't promise it will always be available or error-free.
Our work and trademarks
The text, design, artwork, screenshots, clips and code on this site belong to Way of the Pigeon Ltd or the people who license them to us. Way of the Pigeon™, Play your Imagination.™, Collektory™, the ninja pigeon and our logos are our trademarks. You're welcome to use our name and screenshots to talk about our work — in a review, article or video, for example — as long as it's accurate and doesn't suggest a partnership. For anything else, ask us first.
Other names and logos mentioned on this site (YouTube, Discord, OBS, Twitch, Steam and so on) are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe what our work connects to. We're not affiliated with or endorsed by them unless we say so.
Projects in the works
We're a small studio and we like to show things early. Anything described as coming soon, in the lab or in development — including features, platforms, dates and prices — is our current plan, may change, and isn't an offer you can accept. When a game or app is available, it comes with its own terms (such as a licence or end-user agreement), and those apply to it instead of these.
The newsletter
The newsletter is free, and you can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email. See how sign-ups work.
Links to other sites
We link to other websites — YouTube, Discord, social networks, Collektory and The 1nteger, for example. We don't control sites we don't run and aren't responsible for their content or how they handle your information, so please check their terms and privacy policies.
Our responsibility to you
We work hard to keep the site accurate and safe, but it's provided for general information "as is". We don't promise it's complete, up to date or bug-free, and you shouldn't rely on it for important decisions. We take care to keep it free of viruses, but please use your own protection too.
If you use the site as a consumer, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that's a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We're not responsible for loss that isn't foreseeable, or for business losses — the site is for personal use. If you use the site for a business, we're not liable for loss of profit, sales, business, revenue, data, goodwill or any indirect loss, and to the extent the law allows we exclude implied terms about the site.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. Nothing here affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time — for example, when the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version, and the version on the site when you use it is the one that applies.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts; if you live in the European Union, you keep the protection of your own country's mandatory consumer laws and can bring proceedings where you live. If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce something straight away, we can still do so later.
